Why 2023 WASSCE Results Have Delayed

The 2023 WASSCE results have dalayed. All 2023 WASSCE candidates who wrote the 2023 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are currently asking just one question; ‘When is WAEC releasing the 2023 WASSCE results?”.

Answers to this question and many more can be found in this article.

As you already know, the 2023 WASSCE was written in a period of two months, starting from 31st July to 26th September, 2023. The BECE was written in the same period.

The 2023 BECE results have been released. This is because the BECE was written before the WASSCE written papers.

According to the West African Examination Council (WAEC), the 2023 WASSCE results will be released on 2nd December, 2023. Currently, the 2023 WASSCE scripts have been marked. What WAEC is doing is that they are currently entering the results of candidates into their respective portals.

During the WASSCE, some candidates were involved in series of examination malpractices, also known as cheating. Some were caught copying from textbooks, from friends, etc. Some were also caught with mobile phones at the examination hall.

Before the WASSCE results are released, WAEC will first have to conduct an investigations into such offences reported. If investigations are not concluded, WAEC will withhold the results of such candidates till further investigations are conducted. These are some few reasons why the 2023 WASSCE results have delayed.
