Before being officially recognized by the Guinness Book of Records for attempting to break the world record for the longest singing marathon, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a journalist and event coordinator, has acknowledged certain records she claims to have broken already. Her attempt to surpass the record set by Sunil Waghmare, an Indian who sang for 105 hours in March 2012, commenced at sunrise on December 24, 2023, and concluded on Thursday, December 28, 2023, after singing approximately 120 Ghanaian songs for over 126 hours.
As per Guinness Book of Records procedures, Afua and her team must submit evidence of their attempt for a thorough examination before any confirmation or denial of her potential world record status can be made.
This process, based on gathered information, takes some time unless an individual opts for express review by paying a fee—a step Afua has declared she will not take. Below is the list of records Afua shared on Facebook that she claims to have broken.
